About Emily

What I’ve done…

More years ago than I want to count, I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in food management. After a few years assisting the executive director of my hometown chamber of commerce and running my own part-time cake decorating business, I transitioned to a full-time position as district assistant and scheduler to a member of the United States Congress for about 4 years. I married and started a family soon after and spent several years focusing on raising my son and doing volunteer work.

My husband’s job has taken us to different states, and with my son getting older, I prayed for God’s direction in what job I should pursue. I saw a post on MoneySavingMom.com featuring Caitlin Pyle’s proofreading course at ProofreadAnywhere.com, took the course, and it has been the perfect fit for my skills and lifestyle. Through Caitlin’s course, I was then introduced to another great opportunity, Janet Shaughnessy’s TranscribeAnywhere course.

What I’m doing now…

I provide verbatim English transcription and proofreading services, with a focus on accuracy, readability, confidentiality, and reliability.

In 2015, I completed Transcription Proofreading: Theory and Practice and started doing business as Court Square Services, Transcription and Proofreading. In March 2016, I completed General Transcription: Theory and Practice and expanded my services to include transcription as well.

My work is completely mobile, so no matter if I’m traveling or if I move across the country, you as a client will have minimal interruption in services.

What clients say…

Several court reporters have entrusted their proofreading to me, and you can read their comments at the top right of the home page. If you would like to contact them directly for references, or have any other inquiries, please let me know.
